Karen Felder

I graduated from Wando High School in 1976. I received a BS in Physical Education from Appalachian State University.  I began my teaching career in Greenwood, South Carolina.  I came to Charleston County at the beginning of the 1981- 82 school year.  I was a physical education teacher and coach at Wando High School.  I earned my Masters Degree from the Citadel in Special Education.  After my daughter was born in 1989, I transferred to Mt Pleasant Academy where I taught elementary physical education.  During that time I went back to the Citadel and became certified in School Administration.  I was an Assistant Principal at Orange Grove Elementary School and came to Jennie Moore as the principal during the summer of 2004.
